Chaman necklace

Chamán is a sculptural neckpiece from Remy Cristian’s Hidden Gods collection, inspired by ancient Mesoamerican symbolism and the sacred connection between the human world and the unseen.

At its center, a hand-carved jade face becomes the spiritual focal point of the piece. Revered throughout Mesoamerican cultures, jade was associated with life, water, fertility, vitality, and the sacred.

The neckpiece is constructed from interconnected sections of sterling silver, forming a continuous  structure around the neck. On either side of the central face, two bronze serpents emerge as protective and symbolic figures. The serpent evokes transformation, regeneration, and the passage between different realms of existence.

Rather than functioning simply as an ornament, Chamán is conceived as a wearable symbolic object — an amulet inspired by the figure of the shaman as an intermediary between the visible and invisible worlds.
